​Hi, I'm April (aj)...

I'm a chatty digital marketer from the south!

I graduated from Mississippi State University (#hailstate) in 2001 with a Bachelor's in Business. After getting married and having three kids, I returned to school to get my Master's because who doesn't like a good challenge and perche' no? (Which means "why not" in Italian, don't get too excited my Italian is very limited!)

After doing tons of market research and writing more papers than I thought possible, I graduated from Texas A&M with my Master's in Marketing in 2017. But, the learning has continued — so far, I've added 6 HubSpot certifications. When you love something, I believe you never stop studying, testing, and growing!

I've freelanced with some of the most amazing clients in healthcare, workplace culture, wellbeing, marketing, events, and business services. I've created marketing strategy from the ground up, helped launch many things (online courses, a podcast, websites, rebrands, books), written a ton of copy, led a marketing team of freelancers, and served as a Fractional CMO. 

Here's the thing about me:

• Creating and executing an inbound marketing strategy is my jam, and my happy day is when the results flow from all the lovely strategy, content, and implementation work!
• I love HubSpot because I've seen how it is a game changer, especially for small teams that want to simplify their workflow and grow while tracking real ROI.
• I'm a 2020 HubSpot Champion User, a former Forbes Communications Council member, and, as mentioned earlier, I hold six HubSpot certifications and an MS in Marketing.
